Sharing information
Where permitted or required by law, information may be shared with banks, payment partners, service providers, regulators or law-enforcement agencies.

- Provide valid identification and supporting documents when requested.
- Use the service only for lawful purposes and not on behalf of an undisclosed third party.

Rates and transfer availability
Exchange rates may change and are confirmed when a transaction is accepted. Destination, payout method and processing availability may vary.
Review or refusal
A transaction may be delayed, declined, cancelled or held for review where required by law, sanctions controls, fraud prevention or AML/CTF procedures.
AML / CTF
Salsal Exchange applies risk-based controls under Australia’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing framework.
Customer due diligence
We identify and verify customers and may request information about source of funds, purpose of transfer, recipient details or beneficial ownership where relevant.
Transaction monitoring
Transactions are monitored on an ongoing basis and may require additional or enhanced review depending on value, destination, customer profile or other risk factors.
International transfers
Transfers involving higher-risk corridors, including Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iran, may require enhanced due diligence, additional supporting information, source-of-funds checks or recipient verification.
Australian Sanctions
Salsal Exchange does not process transactions that would breach Australian sanctions law.
Sanctions screening
Relevant customers, recipients, banks, companies and other transaction parties may be screened against the current Australian Government DFAT Consolidated List.
Iran-related transactions
Iran-related transfers may be subject to enhanced sanctions and AML/CTF review. We do not directly or indirectly make funds or financial assets available to, or for the benefit of, a designated person or entity.
